Age on becoming PM:57. First elected in 1874 and served for 32 years, 9 months and 6 days. 

Birth: June 26, 1854 Grand Pre, Nova Scotia

Death: at age 82,June 10, 1937, of heart failure; buried in Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa
