Louis Stephen Saint-Laurent

Term: Nov. 15, 1948-June 21, 1957. Had been in Parliament since 1942. 

Age becoming PM: 66

Birth: Feb. 1, 1882 Compton, Quebec. Married with 5 children. Jean-Paul was an MP for Temiscouata, Quebec, 1955-1958.

His government created several large projects, including the Trans-Canada Highway, the St. Lawrence Seaway and the Canada Council. ( Shown with Mackenzie King- click to enlrage)

Death: at age 91, July 25, 1973, of heart failure; buried in Saint Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Compton, Quebec See: Grave sites of the Prime Ministers
