Sir John Sparrow David Thompson Liberal Conservative
Age on becoming PM-48 Birth-Nov 10, 1845 Halifax. Married with 9 children. Death- at age 50, Dec 12, 1894, of heart failure. Died at Windsor Castle after receiving knighthood from Queen Victoria. Buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Halifax on Jan 3, 1895. First Roman Catholic PM. First provincial premier to become the PM. Was Premier of NS in 1882.
